Would we recommend: ABSOLUTELY!!!
A brief overview of the experience: we did 5 days Technical Diving with Lagona Divers – Technical, and, their Instructor Matt put a huge amount of effort into the experience, taking us from being very rusty on technical skills and knowledge, through to highly competent. All that, without being on a course. The entire experience of this dive center is one of safety, consideration, awareness and efficiency. Over the years(20+), we’ve dived with quite a few centers, and this is easily at the top of the top 5. Outside of diving, they also have a travel partner, and so arranged every part of our trip except flights. To say that they made the trip easy would be an understatement.
Lagona Divers’ technical division is more than capable of arranging almost any kind of open or closed circuit technical diving that you could ask for, including training at all levels.
Update post-writing: we’ve now visited them a second time and enjoyed an equally stellar experience. A certain airline which shall not be named lost our luggage FOR 3 DAYS and did nothing whatsoever to get it to us; these amazing people fully equipped us for tech diving with their rental gear, even having fins and boots ready (size 48, not easy to find). Ps. their amazing team also found our luggage for us and got it delivered across the mountains and into Dahab!
